In 2019, as the deadline for the United Kingdom's withdrawal from the European Union loomed, tensions ran high in London.
In the midst of this historic moment, I embarked on a project to document the Brexit protests that were taking place across the city.
Through my lens, I captured the passion and energy of those who opposed Brexit and were taking to the streets to voice their dissent. As I followed the anti-Brexit demonstrations, I focused on the people involved and their stories, bringing a human element to the larger political narrative.
My project aimed to provide a unique perspective on this pivotal moment in British history. By creating a visual record of the protests, I hoped to shed light on the issues at stake and amplify the voices of those who may have felt marginalized in the larger political discourse.
As a documentarian, I aimed to create a visual record that would not only serve as a historical document but also inspire future generations to engage in the political process and stand up for their beliefs.
